Silverstone completes major refurb of Leeds Bradford Airport Industrial Estate property
Silverstone Building Consultancy has completed a £750,000 refurbishment of a 90,000 sq. ft.industrial unit at Leeds Bradford Airport Industrial Estate (LBAIE).
On behalf of the landlord, Leopard Capital UK, Silverstone has project managed acomprehensive works programme that has transformed the high-bay unit into a modern,efficient and flexible facility - to attract a new occupier.
Silverstone’s Tom Wright managed the four-month project which included a full upgrade of the office space including the installation of LED lighting; modernising the elevations and resurfacing the yard to improve traffic flow and reduce maintenance costs.
CDT Commercial was the lead contractor and Crabtree Potts consulted on the structural works.

LBAIE was recently acquired by Leopard Capital UK, marking the London-based investment management and advisory firm’s entry into the Yorkshire market.
Silverstone, which has offices in Leeds, London and Newcastle, undertook a pre-acquisition survey on behalf of Leopard Capital for LBAIE. The chartered surveying firm providedtechnical due diligence advice and a detailed pre-acquisition survey report including estimated costs and advice on the existing lease structures and the repairing liabilities of various units on the estate.
Leeds Bradford Airport Industrial Estate – which comprises 1.25 million sq. ft. across a 60-acre site - is one of Yorkshire’s most established industrial and distribution estates. The estate has 16 units ranging from 20,000 sq. ft. to 150,000 sq. ft. and has direct access to the A658 Harrogate Road.
Existing occupiers include APCOA, VPK Packaging, Jet2, VLT Logistics and Rarter Bond. Sigma Retail Solutions is the most recent addition to the estate and has acquired 35,000 sq. ft.of warehouse accommodation.
Knight Frank and Carter Towler have been appointed as joint agents to let the unit.
