Silverstone were instructed by counsel at 39 Essex Chambers on behalf of a private client to provide a Part 35 Compliant CPR Report advising on defects, non-compliance and remedial works.
The terrace of large industrial units had been recently constructed but there were alleged defects in the concrete floor slabs. a dispute had crystallised and we were instructed by counsel to inspect the floors, record tolerances against industry norms and the agreed development specification. A very detailed process follows to measure the tolerances, investigate the cause of the defects and how to deal with repairs. We reported in the Part 35 CPR format. Our expert witness surveyors have attended the Bond Solon training courses and therefore possess the requisite knowledge and competencies to carry out our role and duty as an expert witness both compliantly.
