We were appointed by Shaws Property Investments to facilitate a letting and refurbishments to a Grade II listed letting at 6 Market Place, Pontefract.
The refurbishment works included full site supervision, ensuring the contractor followed all operating procedures as set out by the Construction Leadership Council in respect of the proposed working methods and risk assessments and managing risks associated with COVID-19.
Internally, the main shop front frame was stripped out by removing all of the loose materials, new timber was installed so as to match the size and appearance of the existing shop front frame and slice repairs were made to the window frames.
Externally, the property benefited from shop front repairs before redecoration works took place. Replacements were made to the existing roof coverings, the chimney stacks were repointed and reflaunched and rainwater goods were re-designed and renewed.
